You will be part of a team that is on standby for ad-hoc duties at Stansted Airport should they require emergency staff.
No experience required and free training is provided.

Responsibilities

The main duties of a Rapid Response Team Member may include but are not limited to:
• Loading and unloading of baggage
• Operating various equipment on the aircraft stand to include steps, belts and vehicles
• Traffic/ Passenger marshalling
• Any other ad-hoc work the Airport may require, dependant on incident/ event

Person Specification

• Must be hardworking & reliable with an excellent work ethic
• Be flexible with working hours (able to work days, nights & weekends)
• Be able to attend shifts at very short notice (minimum 4-hours)
• Live within a 45-minute commute of Stansted Airport
• Have no criminal convictions
• Full UK Manual Driving License

Requirements

Due to the location of work being at the airport, we need the following information from you:
• 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)
• 5-year UK address history
• Valid photo ID (Driving licence accepted for British citizens)
• Criminal Record Check (Cost of £25 to be refunded on Security pass collection)

Health & Safety

• You may be required to complete a Security exam and therefore need to display you understand Health & Safety practices, therefore you will need to demonstrate you have a good understanding and communicate clearly in both written and verbal English.
• There is an element of manual handling of materials including pushing and pulling of equipment. You will need to be physically fit and able to carry out this role; the Airport is a large environment and you will often be required to walk long distances between work stations
• You will be working within confined spaces on an Aircraft and therefore you need to be aware of the limited space and positioning of work and where it’s to be carried out.

Working Hours

This is ad-hoc emergency work. Your hours will vary and you must be flexible enough to work days, nights, weekdays and weekends.
You will be guaranteed a minimum 8-hour shift plus bonus, even if you work less.

Pay Rates (Inclusive of holiday pay)

Any shift – £20ph
Bank Holidays £30ph

Plus an annual bonus to be discussed on application.
