Once we have the candidate brief, we use our database and advertising channels to get things moving


Applicants apply over multiple channels and we gather a list of suitable candidates


All applicants are put through initial screening so that only the most suitable candidates are invited to interview


All suitable candidates are invited to interview, where they can answer some questions and find out more about the role


A shortlist is drafted and discussed with the client, before making the final selection of successful candidates


Successful candidates are made an offer and onboarding begins shortly after acceptance

Our Story

Back in 2011, we started JBS Recruitment, primarily to serve the construction and engineering industries, with a clear vision to get the balance right between delivering great results for our clients and living our core values of honest and transparent representation. We were thrown into the deep end, when, shortly after opening, we were asked to supply emergency resource to Heathrow Airport. Never one to back down from a challenge, we drew on our network, great systems and processes, and achieved the goal… and now, we are resource partners to six UK airports!

It was challenging, but we believed we could do things in a new way. We have an approach to resourcing that is a blend of strong values, great systems and processes, and a focus on providing an unrivalled candidate and client experience. This has translated into exceptional results, built the trust and confidence in our business and created longer-term relationships and partnerships, with the clients and candidates we serve.

Today, our business has grown, and alongside our aviation work, we support blue chip, public sector and SME businesses in the areas of construction, logistics, facilities management, industrial, mechanical and electrical and civil engineering.

We have a track record of going out of our way to find follow-on opportunities for our existing candidates when their contracts come to an end, and once we have made a commitment to a candidate, we do everything we can to deliver on our promise to them.

Richard joined the business in 2018 bring with him over 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry. He has sector knowledge in Engineering, Construction, Rail, Civil Engineering & Aviation and is known across those sectors as someone who delivers first class customer service for his clients and provides the best experience possible for candidates. He has a passion for training and is committed to using the best technology available to help his teams and the business develop.

Clare Hennessy – Associate Director

JBS is always working towards sustainable growth, and Clare has played a fundamental part in delivering this vision. Joining JBS in 2014, she was tasked with establishing a construction desk for the company. The division was a success, and next Clare turned her attentions to developing the Aviation division, which has also thrived. Following these achievements, Clare is now Associate Director, and in this role, she provides support and direction to the senior management team and ensures the company mission, vision and values are understood and implemented across all areas of JBS.

When Mark joined JBS in 2013, after ten years in recruitment, he found a home for his passion and ideas. He didn’t hesitate to join forces with Donna, to build the company on a shared ethos of ‘simply being better’. Mark’s excitement and enthusiasm for the business shines through everything he does, whether that’s mucking in to deliver resource, or driving the company’s growth across all offices. He is also committed to ensuring healthy workloads are maintained, and clients and candidates receive an exceptional experience whichever part of the business they touch.

Donna Loye
Managing Director

Donna Loye – Managing Director

Fuelled by a mission to deliver excellence, and a vision of something better for the recruitment industry, Donna decided to start JBS in 2011. Building on over 15 years in Engineering and Construction working for two household name recruitment consultancies, she was convinced that she could bring something new to the table. Today, JBS is thriving, Donna leads by example, hands on when she needs to be, and otherwise operating strategically to drive continuous improvement, to support the organic growth of the business without compromising the commitment to consistently deliver to candidate and client needs and expectations.

Michelle Boston
Office Manager

Michelle Boston – Office Manager (HQ)

Compliance is a vital part of many of our recruitment processes, and we recognise the importance of getting this right. That’s why Michelle joined JBS in 2016, bringing experience in compliance and referencing with Aer Lingus, and having held signatory status at most UK and Irish airports. Michelle’s knowledge and experience has been invaluable in growing our in-house compliance department, and for ensuring due diligence, compliance & efficiency is exercised across the board.

Paul Maxam

Paul Maxam – Regional Manager – BRS/BHX

Our strength is consistently solving our clients’ problems, and we’re able to do this because we develop lasting partnerships, based on a deep knowledge of the industries we operate in. Paul illustrates this, having spent 13 years within the Aviation industry, developing relationships and gaining an expert understanding of the end to end processes that keep the airport operational, including Ground Handling, Airport Service, Baggage infrastructure, Aerodrome and Aircraft capabilities. Paul will be heading up and driving the business growth in Birmingham and the South West.

We believe passion and performance are two ingredients that are vital to our success, and Gregg combines these to deliver results, drive sustainable growth and develop his teams. With significant sales and leadership experience gained in a multi-national FTSE 250 electrical telecommunications company, Greg champions our commitment to exceptional service, strategic change and happy staff. Managing the introduction of our new Crawley office, Gregg will be developing business strategy and growth at London Gatwick and in the South East.

Amoret Simpkin
Resource Manager

Amoret Simpkin – Resource Manager – Construction

In the recruitment industry, one of the keys to consistent delivery, and ensuring a great client and candidate experience, is having robust and efficient processes. As our Resource Manager, Amoret brings over 10 years’ experience of compliance, business development and resourcing within the construction recruitment industry and is utilising this to improve and streamline JBS processes across all departments. As well as leading process improvement, Amoret manages the construction department, successfully supporting candidates and clients.

Rachel Marrey
Senior Account Manager

Rachel Marrey – Senior Account Manager – Aviation

Whether you’re a candidate or you work for JBS directly, we love to nurture and grow talent, and Rachel is a great example of this. After joining JBS in 2016 as an account manager, Rachel showed a natural instinct for leadership within operational delivery, and a flair for engaging and building a team. This led to two quick promotions and she now manages a team of 10, who she is keen to develop so they can follow in her footsteps. Rachel and her team have been pivotal in successfully delivering on some of our most prestigious contracts, and they currently look after multiple projects across several UK airports.
